There are 3 Pleasant Valley Cemeteries in Grundy Co. Pleasant Valley Township is on the northern border, one township in from the west. Many residents went to Aplington or Parkersburg in Butler Co. rather than Wellsburg as they were closer.

There is a Pleasant Valley Methodist Cemetery, a Pleasant Valley Reformed cemetery and the tiny little Pleasant Valley township Cemetery. I am currently working on trying to straighten these 3 out as the WPA records are somewhat a mess with regards to Pleasant Valleys. I would venture to say that your people are probably buried in one of the two large PV cemeteries. You have also brought up a question with regards to the WPA records. Under the catagory of town, you will find the Township more than you will find a City/Town. Even in Grundy Center the largest town in Grundy Co, the WPA records are listed by township.

I will keep an eye out for your Wills as I am trying to organize these cemeteries. I see a John listed in Palermo township which would be Grundy Center. Is this their son?
