Looking for any information on Garland Glenn Vittum born 1885 and died 1924 in Grundy Co. Iowa. He was married to Goldie Fritz but in 1920 they were separated. She was living with her parents and he with his mother Martha Vittum. He committed suicide in 1924. I think that my grandmother Elsie Mae Thoms (188g-1979) worked for him on one of his farms and while he was separated from Goldie that Elsie got pregnant. She gave her son Garfield Thoms up for adoption. Trying to find land records ((Elsie lived with her brothers in 1920 in Grant twp) Garfield was said to have several farms in Blackhawk.
