This is a message for Sherry Kruger:

I have read several of your inquiries from
2003 searching for your ancestors. I am also searching for my Grandfathers siblings, last name
Sala. First name Jozsef. Born in Krizba,near Brasso.I believe he had a brother, Janos. But I
think his descendants stayed in that area. There
is a Janos Sala listed in the Hungarian Railways
directory of 1911 as working out of Segesvar as a
"Ticket agent?"( Valtokozelok? ).

Most of my Sala anscestors were farmers,
but my Grandfather became a policeman and went up
the railway route from Brasso to Elisabetstadt.
Working there as a gendarme. Thereafter he came to
the U.S.A. around 1901,(I can't find any records
online)where my father was born in a suburb of
Chicago in 1904. Grandma didnt like it here so they went back and wound up in Kolosvar before
WWI started. It would be nice to hear back from you since this I think is only the third E-mail
I've ever sent.

I was born here so I cannot speak Hungarian.
