Rites Today For Mrs. Louis Freese

Mrs. Louis Freese, 69, passed away at the Floyd County Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Charles City on Sunday afternoon, where she had been a patient for five days.

Wemka Lauterbach was born in Britt on April 21, 1897, the daughter of Ait and Wemka Meinders Lauterbach. She married Louis Freese on June 19th, 1917 at Aplington and they lived on a farm between Allison and Greene for the past ten years.

She is survived by her husband, a son Irvin of Greene, a daughter, Mrs. George (Kathryn Luella) Murra of Wellsburg, four grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Heit (Martha) Peters of Parkersburg, Mrs. Ida Juhl, of Ackley, and Mrs. John (Anna) Horbach of Waterloo.

Also surviving are six brothers, Ait, of Clarksville, Geike of Ackley, Uffie, of Aplington, Brunk and John of Parkersburg and Ben Lauterbach of Wellsburg, and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one grandchild, and three sisters.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon, Wednesday September 21, at 1:30 at the First Presbyterian Church in Greene, with the Rev. R. J. Topp of Clarksville officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Reid's Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
