LAUTERBACH, MEINDERS

Parkersburg--Ait Lauterbach, 82, died Friday of complications of age at the home of his son Uffie Lauterbach, south of Stout, with whom he had lived with since November. Born April 5, 1867 in Germany, and came to America when he was 22, settled in Grundy County, Iowa, he married Wemkka Meinders, March 2, 1893 in Grundy Center. The couple lived on a farm near Woden until 1910, when they came to Butler county to farm. Retired to Parkersburg 15 years ago.

He leaves a wife, six sons, Ait Jr., Clarksville; Geike, Ackley; Uffe, Dike; Brunko, Parkersburg; John, Aplington; and Ben, Wellsburg; four daughters, Mrs. Louie Freese, Greene; Mrs. Harold Juel, New Hampton; Mrs. Heit Peters, Parkersburg; Mrs. Anna Huisman, Waterloo; 30 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Martin Schwalve, Nora Springs, was preceded in death by four children in infancy, his parents, two brothers, and four sisters, funeral 12 o'clock noon Tuesday at the Uffe Lauterbach home and at 12:45 at the Christian Reformed Church in Parkersburg. Burial in Pleasant View Cemetery, Aplington.
