Merle H. Stock, 75, of Granger died of lung cancer Tuesday at Granger Manor. The body was cremated, and graveside services will be held at a later date at Morrison Cemetery in Morrison.

Mr. Stock was born in Morrison and had lived in the Fairfield area all his life. He was a retired sheet-metal worker with Deere & Co., an Army Air Forces veteran and a member of Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Craig of Westchester, Pa., and Jeff of Prairie Village, Kan.; two daughters, Ava Erickson of Granger and Kathy Johnson of Lenexa, Kan.; a brother, Walter of Reinbeck; three sisters, Audrey Lear of Lodi, Calif., Iris Norwood of Niland, Calif., and Georgia Wilson of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation Society of Iowa is handling arrangements.
