Mrs. Bert Downey Dies In Hospital

Mrs. Bert Downey from Reinbeck died in the Grundy Memorial Hospital last Saturday. Death was due to old age and complications. She was 81.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the French funeral home in Reinbeck. Burial was in the cemetery at Morrison.

Mrs. Downey was a lifetime resident of Grundy county. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Morrison. She was born on a farm near Morrison and she grew up there. In late years she made her home with three sisters in Reinbeck.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters. The sons are Dale from Hudson, and Harold and Wayne from Reinbeck. The daughters are Gwenn from Traer and Evelyn from Forreston, Ill.
