Mrs. Bud Hummel Dies Tuesday At Hospital

Mrs. Bud Hummel of Morrison died at nine o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Francis hospital in Waterloo. Death resulted from dropsy and heart trouble. She was taken to the hospital on Sept. 15th.

The body was brought to the Coffman funeral home in Grundy Center. Funeral services will be in the Presbyterian church at Morrison at two o'clock Friday afternoon. The service will be conducted by Rev. Virgil Smith, pastor of First Presbyterian church, Grundy Center. Burial will be in the Washington township cemetery.

Mrs. Hummel's maiden name was Tena Dingle. She was born January 2, 1915, near Holland to John and Reka Dingle. She was married to Bud Hummel on Apr. 28, 1936, at Hampton. Mrs. Hummel moved to Morrison when a small girl and lived there the rest of her life.

She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and two children, Betty, 5 years, and Judy, 2 years; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dingle; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, New Hartford; two brothers, Carl with the Army at Berkeley, Calif., now home on furlough, and Henry, stationed in New Guinea. A brother, Eddie, died Oct. 22, 1941, from injuries received in an auto accident.
