Wm. Hostetter Dies In California

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, December 7 at 1:30 at the Ferree Funeral Home for William H. Hostetter, 78, who passed away at the El Cajon Valley hospital in California on Friday, December 1. He had been living at Alpine, Calif. Rev. E. A. Biederman will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot in the Morrison cemetery.

Pall bearers will be Elmer Geiter, Theo. Meinert, Harold Mooty, Chas. Mooty Jr., Harold Lynch, Howard Davis.

Music will be provided by Merle Mamminga and Mrs. A. J. Redding.

William Hostetter, son of Abraham and Sarah Hostetter, was born on November 29, 1883 at Blaine, Pa. He was married to Lillian Rhea on November 30, 1905, in Pennsylvania. They farmed for many years in Washington township, Grundy county. They retired in 1946 and moved west. They had been in California the past four years.

Mrs. Hostetter died October 26, 1959 at the LaMesa, California hospital.

Mr. Hostetter is survived by three daughters: Mrs. (Lois) Mason McDaniel of Des Moines, Mrs. (Lenora) Gale Anderson of Omaha, Nebr. and Mrs. (Elaine) Ernest Koch of Wellsburg. Ernest Hostetter of Lincoln is a foster son. There are 7 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Nellie Kruger of Chicago and one brother, Ralph of Waterloo. A daughter, Ruth, Mrs. Howard Graesing, died in 1951.
