B. H. Starn, aged 80, for many years a resident of Grundy Center and Gifford died at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at his home at Gifford following a sickness of several months brought on by old age. He had been bedfast for several weeks. Mr. Starn was born January 14, 1841 in Highland county, Ohio, and came to Iowa in the fall of 1874, settling in Grundy county. He moved to Gifford nine years ago. Besides the widow, three sons and two daughters survive.
