Well Known Whitten Doctor, G. A. Blaha Dies Sunday

Dr. G. A. Blaha, 84, who practiced medicine in Whitten since 1914, died Sunday in Port Charlotte, Fla. He had been in poor health since suffering a heart attack some time ago.

On October 11, 1964 Dr. Blaha completed 50 years of medical service to Whitten and area, and was honored at a reception.

In addition to his widow, Dr. Blaha is survived by two sons, one a medical doctor and the other a dentist.

Whitten--Services for Dr. George A. Blaha, 84, a former resident, who died Sunday at Port Charlotte, Fla., were at 10 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Whitten; burial in the Benson Cemetery, southeast of Whitten. Dr. Blaha practiced medicine in Whitten since 1914 until his retirement. His survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons, Vernon B. Blaha of Grayling, Mich., and David of Marshalltown, and several grandchildren.
