Gertie Abbas Funeral At Ackley Thursday

Services for Mrs. Gertie Abbas, 72, who died April 28 at the Maple Manor nursing home in Aplington, were Thursday at the Ackley Christian Reformed church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Renda Gerdes of Gladbrook, Mrs. Ben VanHeiden of Reinbeck, Miss Lucille Abbas of Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. Bertha Bishop of Waterloo and Mrs. Henrietta Johnson of Aplington; two sons, Arend of Ackley and George B. of Austinville; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Abbas of Aplington and Mrs. Minnie Verbrugge of Armstrong; two brothers, Dick Bunk of Kanawha and Lucas of Renwick.

Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home was in charge.
