Roy E. Garl Service to Be Tuesday

Roy E. Garl, 51, 614 Jackson S. W., died at a Mason City nursing home early Sunday morning. He had lived in Mason City two years.

Mr. Garl was born July 6, 1902, at Wellsburg. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Rudd. He farmed near Rockford and for two years was employed in the Oliver factor at Charles City.

Surviving are his mother, Katie Garl, Mason City; two sons, Lawrence, Nora Springs, and Gareld, Rudd; a daughter, Mrs. Bill Sproul, Joplin, Mo.; two granddaughters, and a sister, Mrs. Earl Schulte, Manly. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Major Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Roy Harrisville, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Rock Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel until the time of services.
