Former Resident Dies In Wisconsin

Shirley M. Larson, 62, died on Friday, July 11, at 11:45 a.m. at her home in Cumberland, WI, as the result of pancreatic cancer. She was born Sept. 15, 1940, to Otis and Bessie Smotherman of Minburn. She taught grade school in Wellsburg where she met David Larson. Shirley and David lived in Wellsburg, Marshalltown and Thompson, also Medford, WI, and Buffalo, MN, before retiring and moving to Cumberland, WI.

Survivors are her husband, David; two daughters; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; three sisters; a brother-in-law; nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister.
