Theodore Stoehr Dies Sunday In Montana

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, October 9th at the St. John Lutheran Church at Montrose, South Dakota for Theodore Stoehr, 55, former resident, who died suddenly Sunday, October 5th in a Great Falls, Montana hospital.

He was born November 21, 1913, in Grundy County, Iowa, and came to South Dakota in 1924. A long time resident of the Montrose area he was in the electrical business.

He married Theresa Selchert on May 22, 1935, in Castlewood, South Dakota. In 1969 the family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he was graduated from the Lutheran Lay Training Institute in May. Following his graduation, they moved to Lincoln, Montana where he was an evangelist for Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

Survivors include the widow, a son, Eldon of Brookings, South Dakota also five daughters and 11 grandchildren.

Attending the funeral services from here were Mr. and Mrs. Herman E. Ruter and Mr. and Mrs. John Heinrich, who spent from Wednesday until Friday in South Dakota.
