John M. Beving, 56, Died at Colo

John M. Beving, 56, of Colo died Tuesday morning, May 9, at the Story County hospital in Nevada from a heart attack. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the United Methodist Church at Colo. Rev. James Louk will officiate. Burial will be in the Colo cemetery.

The body is at the Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing where it may be viewed until the time of service.

He was born October 14, 1915 at Ackley, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Aeilt J. Beving. He was educated in Grundy county schools. During his service in World War II he received the Purple Heart and the Oak Leaf Cluster. In 1943 he was married to Lucille Shield of Belton, Mo.

Survivors include his widow, Lucille, two daughters, Mrs. Dennis McDaniel of Vallejo, Calif., Miss Karen Beving at home, one son Nathan, also a sister, Mrs. Phyllis Crocker of Long Beach, Calif., and one brother, Frederick Beving of Ackley.

He was a member of the Colo United Methodist Church.
