Died--August 26th, 1888, at his home in Blackhawk township, Grundy County, Iowa, Albertus Sterenborg, in the 58th year of his age. Deceased came to this country from Germany, in 1881. Settled first in Washington township, Grundy County, but afterwards removed to Blackhawk twp. where he remained until his death. Three sons and 2 daughters are left to mourn their loss. His remains were brought to Grundy Center for interment.

The funeral exercises were held in the Presbyterian church of this place, and were conducted by Rev. D. W. McLane.
