Jarvis Mesenbrink Services Held

Jarvis I. Mesenbrink, 64, of Dike, died Friday, January 28, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 31, at 2 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Burial was at the Elmwood Cemetery in Dike.

Memorials may be directed to the Dike Library.

Jarvis was born June 16, 1929, the son of Benjamin and Mildred (Brady) Mesenbrink in Denison.

On March 21, 1954, Jarvis was united in marriage to Twyla Wigg in Schleswig, Iowa. He was employed at Viking Pump in Cedar Falls from 1966-1991 and at the Cedar Falls Public School system many years before Viking. He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Twyla of Dike; 2 daughters, Toni Arends of Reinbeck and Christina Zenor of Cedar Falls; 4 sons, Tim Mesenbrink and Todd Mesenbrink, both of Dike, Troy Mesenbrink of Beaman and Travis Mesenbrink of Washburn; and 9 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Russell, Donovan and Ben; and 2 sisters, Virginia Voeck and Janae Meyer.
