Doris Marie Schuck, age 80, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born the daughter of Merlin Daniel and Thelma Margarette (Fielder) Hickey on October 11, 1938, Grinnell, Iowa. She received her education and graduated from the Dike High School in 1956. She attended Pitzie’s Beauty School in Waterloo, Iowa.

In October 1958 Doris married James Jansen. To this union four children Cathy, Carla, Carol and Cory were born and Don and Larry Heisler joined the family. The couple were later divorced.

On May 18, 1985, Doris was united in marriage with Dennis Schuck at Dike United Methodist Church. The couple made their home in Lanesboro, MN. Doris helped Dennis with their Ag, Feed and Seed business, as a bookkeeper for many years. She also enjoyed being a Para Educator with the children at the community school.

Through the years Doris has always been a faithful and active member at a United Methodist Church in Dike, Lanesboro, MN and Parkersburg. She enjoyed teaching and serving on many committees. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She adored attending all of their events and was their biggest supporter, at all of their activities.

Doris passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at the Creekside Living Cottages and Villas, in Grundy Center, Iowa, from complications of Parkinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Dorla Petersen; brother, Wilford Hickey; brother-in-law, Kendall Buskohl; nephew, Mark Arends; and great nephew, Tate Johnson.

Doris is survived by her husband, Dennis Schuck of Parkersburg; four daughters, Cathy Jansen of Dike, Carla (Mark) Williams of Forney, TX, Carol (Garner) Koch of Wylie, TX, and Kim (John) Dodge of Urbandale; five sons, Cory (Gail) Jansen of Trempealeau, WI, Don Heisler of Altoona, Larry Heisler of Des Moines, Dan (Julie) Schuck of Urbandale, and Ken (Janet) Schuck of Roland; ten grandchildren, Madison, Emily, Samuel and Brett Jansen, Eric (fiancée, Lauren) Schuck, Jamie (Michael) Lewis, Jeremy (Lisa) Schuck, Jenna Schuck, Kendall Schuck, and Keaton (Alexa) Schuck; two great grandchildren, Jaxon and Addie Lewis; one sister, Jan Buskohl of Dike; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2019, at the Dike United Methodist Church with burial in the Elmwood Cemetery, both in Dike, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm. to 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, at the Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Parkersburg and one hour before services at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
