Peggy Freese, 58

Peggy Ann Freese, 58 of Dike, died Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls of emphysema. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Dike United Methodist Church in Dike. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery in Dike.

Peggy was born May 26, 1944, in West Union, the daughter of Thomas and Adeline (Ishman) Kerr. She worked at the Evansdale Pharmacy for 18 years as a bookkeeper and pharmacy tech. Peggy enjoyed crafts and bowling. She belonged to the Starburst Bowling League for many years. On November 30, 1996, she was united in marriage to Roger Freese at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Survivors include her husband Roger; four daughters, Zola Kerr of Cedar Falls, Patsy and husband Tim Frank of Evansdale, Bobbi Freese of Cedar Falls, and Kelli Freese of Waterloo; two sons, Tony and wife Lisa Kerr, and Craig Freese, all of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; two grandchildren; her mother Adeline Kerr of Raymond; brother Thomas Kerr of Dike; and sister Patsy Kerr of Raymond; three nephews and one niece.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father Thomas Kerr.
