Wesley J. Miller, 77

Wesley J. Miller, 77, of Dike died November 13, 2007, at the Cedar Falls Healthcare Center. Funeral services were November 17, at Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church in Cedar Falls. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery in Dike. Military honors were conducted by Dike American Legion Post 471. Memorials may be directed to The National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW Ninth Avenue, Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494; Iowa Hospice; or the church.

Wesley was born January 27, 1930 in Cedar Falls, the son of Sam and Nellie (Bauer) Miller. He was a 1949 graduate of Dike High School and served in Korea with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Wesley married Lois J. Heerkes on March 22, 1955 at Colfax Center Presbyterian Church in Holland. Wesley farmed most of his life near Dike and worked at Titus Manufacturing for 18 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Miller, of Dike; his daughter, Betty Miller-Clark, and his son, Gary (Angela) Miller, both of Dike; two granddaughters; three step-grandsons; one step-great-granddaughter; and his brother, Marvin (Bonnie) Miller, of Dike.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; and his son-in-law, Robert Clark.
