Arley Ford, 79, Buried At Dike

Arley F. Ford, 79, of 1655 East 8th St., Plainfield, Mo., died at the Cox Medical Center in Plainfield, Mo., Sunday, May 23. He was a former resident of Cedar Falls, moving to the Plainfield area in 1952. He operated a service station in Cedar Falls before going to Missouri.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Lutheran church. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Springfield, Mo. A graveside committal service will be held at Elmwood cemetery at Dike Thursday morning at 10:30. There will be public viewing from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Dike Funeral Chapel.

He is survived by his wife Irene; three sons, Marvin of Cedar Falls, Dale of Mesa, Ariz., Wayne of Independence, Mo.; one brother, Miles Ford of Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Ellen Bittner of Kansas City, Mo.; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
