Funeral Services Held Dec. 28 For Evelyn Olszowka

Funeral services were held at the Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls last Wednesday, Dec. 28 for Mrs. Evelyn A. (Wumkes) Olszowka, 63, of Chicago, Illinois, and formerly of Cedar Falls. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Dike.

She died of a heart attack in Chicago on Friday, December 23, 1977.

Evelyn Damm was born in Grundy County on Oct. 12, 1917[sic], daughter of Louie and Emma Christiansen Damm. She married Wilbur Wumkes in May 1934 in Cedar Falls. He passed away in 1960.

She married Ernest Olszowka on July 20, 1974, in Chicago.

Survivors include her husband of Chicago; two sons, John Wumkes, Miami, Florida and Stanley Wumkes of Palos Park, Illinois; her father of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Virgil Nielsen of Dike and six grandchildren.
