Mrs. Augusta Buol died Thursday July 22nd, at the Frank Buol home, in Dike after ten days sickness with liver and bowel trouble. She was 85 years, 6 months and 13 days old. She was conscious most of the time up to 18 hours before her death. Augusta Koenig was born at ? Weimar, Germany. When eighteen she came to America with her parents and made her home with them at Rochester, Wisconsin. From Rochester, they moved to Bear Valley, Wi, where she was united in marriage to John Buol, Feb. 28, 1860. Her husband enlisted in the Union Army and died in service on August 6, 1864. To this union were born four children, Mrs. Louise King and Frank G. of Dike, John A. of Olustee, Okla. and Mrs. Ida See of Cavanovia, Wis. Besides these she leaves eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, and one brother in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. She was baptized in infancy and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Germany when fourteen years of age. She has remained a faithful and consistent communicant of the church until the end. Eighteen years ago she came to Dike and has since made her home with her son, Frank and her daughter, Mrs. King. She passed away at the home of her son, July 22nd, 1920, aged 85 years, 6 months, and 13 days. She was an active lady and up to the last few days of her life she was going about the neighborhood, calling upon her friends and scattering sunshine and kindness to all she knew. She was always kind and loving and will be greatly missed by those she has left behind. The funeral services were held in the M.E. church Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Smith and interment was made in the Dike cemetery
