Mrs. Christine McKinder Died In Waterloo

Mrs. Christine McKinder, 85, passed away Monday evening, January 15 at the Bonorden Nursing home at 1020 West 3rd St. in Waterloo.

Funeral services will be held at the Dike Methodist church on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m. Dr. Charles Jacobs of the First Congregational church of Waterloo will be in charge of the services. Burial will be at the Dike Elmwood cemetery. The Dahl Funeral Home will bring the body to the Dike Methodist church at approximately 11 for friends to view.

Christine Olsen, was born on Dec. 15, 1876 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Olsen. She was married to John McKinder in 1902 in Cedar Falls, and moved to Dike in the same year. For the past several years she has been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Howard Fines of 540 Reed St., Waterloo.

She is survived by her son, Ralph of 2221 Greenwood Street, Cedar Falls, her daughter, Mrs. (Alice) Howard Fines and a granddaughter, Mrs. H. Joseph Brownell of San Mateo, California.

Her husband, John, a son, Leslie, and a daughter, Charlotte, her parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters preceded her in death.
