Mrs. Dubbert Dies At Cedar Falls

Mrs. Mary Dubbert, age 83, died at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Western Old Peoples home in Cedar Falls of a heart attack and complications incident to old age.

Mary Louise Koch was born at Proviso, Cook County, Ill., Aug. 22, 1863, the eldest daughter of Frederick and Dora Koch. She was baptized in infancy at Proviso Lutheran church, came with her family to Grundy County in 1876 and was confirmed in the Lutheran church in Cedar Falls.

In 1884 she was married to Henry W. Dubbert. The first years of her married life were spent in Hancock county near Britt. In 1893 they built the house on their farm 1 1/2 miles south of Dike, now owned by the Walter Brothers.

Mrs. Dubbert was preceded in death by her husband, who died Aug. 4, 1919; parents; one sister, Mrs. Alwena Horner; and one brother, Frederick.

Mrs. Dubbert lived with and cared for her mother in Dike for 38 years.

She leaves one sister, Mrs. Lena Hoerman of Washington, Kan.; three brothers, Will of the Odd Fellows Home at Mason City, Herman of Britt and Theodore of Cedar Falls. She entered the Western Old Peoples' Home in Cedar Falls on Sept. 15, 1941.

Funeral services were held at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the chapel of the Western Old Peoples' home, at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran church near Hudson. Burial was at the Dike cemetery beside her husband.
