Funeral Services For Mrs. Badje

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Badje, 66, were held Tuesday, July 30 at 2 at the First Methodist church. Rev. Crum was in charge. Singers were Mrs. and Mrs. Marvin Graves, and organist Mrs. John Paige. Burial was in the Elmwood cemetery.

Mrs. Badje was born Sept. 20, 1896 to Bernard and Emelia Gutknecht Walter near Hudson. She was married to Peter Badje on March 14, 1914 at the Zion Luth. church near Hudson. He preceded her in death, May 4, 1953.

Mrs. Badje died of cancer at the Grundy Memorial hospital at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, after a six months illness.

She had lived in Dike the past 33 years. She was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, later becoming a member of the Meth. church.

Surviving are a son, Pete, of Dike; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Dall of Dike; two grandchildren, Cheryle ad Bruce Dall and two great-grandchildren, Bentley and Daniel Dall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Will and Oscar, and two sisters in infancy.

Pallbearers were E. P. Tobias, Adam Deadrick, W. W. Parker, Jake Alberts, Elmer Dieken and C. L. Moles.

The Dahl Funeral home in Cedar Falls were in charge of the services.
