William Lynn Dies At Cedar Falls
William Lynn, a former resident of Dike, was found dead in his bed at Cedar Falls Monday morning. A heart attack was the cause. He was 70 years old.
Funeral services will be in the Methodist church in Dike Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in the Dike cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the Odd Fellows Lodge from Cedar Falls.
He was born Aug. 4, 1892, near Reinbeck, the son of David and Cora Lynn. He married Bessie Hamilton, June 14, 1915, at Waverly.
Mr. Lynn lived at Dike and then moved to Cedar Falls in 1931. He was employed by the Viking Pump Co. until his retirement 5 years ago. He was custodian of the Cedar Falls boat club for 15 years. He was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows.
Survivors include one son, Virgil, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Trusty, Dike, and Mrs. Thelma Richards, Janesville, Wis.; and a foster daughter, Arvilla Martin, Mason City; four grandchildren, one brother and six sisters. His wife preceded him in death.
