Young Dike Mother Takes Wrong Medicine

Mrs. Wm. Lynn, of Dike, Drinks Lysol for Cough Medicine and Dies Next Night

Takes Medicine by Mistake

Dike was stirred Friday when it was learned that Mrs. Wm. Lynn, a young mother of only 18, had taken lysol by mistake for cough medicine sometime during the night and was in a critical condition. Her death followed Friday evening. Mrs. Lynn was suffering from a cold and had gotten up in the night to get some medicine to relief a bad cough and got hold of the Lysol bottle by mistake. Lysol is a strong disinfectant, composed mostly of carbolic acid.

Mrs. Lynn was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Lee, well known residents of Dike. She leaves a babe only three months old and her death cast a gloom over Dike and community.

Young Woman Takes Poison By Mistake

Mrs. W. H. Lynn of Dike Victim of Fatal Mistake

She Took Poison for Cough Syrup

Mrs. Will Lynn died at her home at Dike Saturday morning from the effects of a dose of poison that she took by mistake Thursday night. She was suffering from a severe cough and during the night she got up intending to take a dose of cough syrup. She made a mistake in bottles and instead of getting cough medicine she took a dose of poison. Both doctors in the town were called at once to attend the young lady but they were not in time to prevent the deadly medicine from doing its work though life was extended until Saturday morning.

Mrs. Lynn was about twenty-five years old. Her maiden name was Lee and she had been a resident of Dike for a good many years. She was married to William Lynn two years ago and the young couple have been residing in Dike since their marriage. The young woman is survived by her husband, a baby of five months and by her father and mother.
