Mrs. Jasper Lee Died Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Jasper Lee were held at the Dike Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2:30 and burial was in the Dike cemetery.

Mrs. Lee, age 78, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Theodore Koch in Cedar Falls, Friday at 11:30 a.m. where she had resided for the last four years. She had been ill several weeks with a heart ailment.

She was born at Geneseo, Ill., July 10, 1870, and was married to Jasper Lee Sept. 10, 1884, at Carns, Neb. They came to Dike in 1902 and Mr. Lee operated a drayline here for a number of years.

Surviving Mrs. Lee are three daughters and a son. Besides Mrs. Koch are Mrs. Don Freeman of Hampton, Mrs. Cora Ahrendt of Dike and Ira Lee of Cedar Falls, and a granddaughter she reared from infancy, Mrs. Dale Richards of Janesville, Wis. Also 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Two children preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church.
