Margaret Lyons Dies in Montana; Rites at C. Falls

Dike, Ia.--Mrs. Margaret Lyons, 86, longtime resident of the Dike community, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Lord, at Windham, Mont., with whom she had lived for the last 11 years.

For many years she was matron of the Black Hawk county home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dahl funeral home. Burial will be in Dike cemetery.

Former Dike Resident Buried Here

A message Tuesday from Mrs. Susan McBain Lord of Stanford, Mont., stating her mother had passed away and the body was being sent to Dike, arriving Thursday for burial in the Dike cemetery beside that of her husband, Donald McBain. The McBain family were residents of the Dike vicinity a number of years ago.

Dike--Mrs. Margaret Lyons, 82; born March 23, 1861, at Waterloo, and lived in that vicinity 15 years, moving from there with her parents to Marshall county, Iowa; married at the age of 17 to Donald McBain; they lived in Gillman two years, then on a Grundy county farm about 30 years; to this union five daughters were born, Mrs. F. L. Hargrove, Daniel, Minn.; Mrs. William Reisinger, Cedar Falls, who died several years ago; Josephine, who died in infancy; Agnes, who died at the age of 15; Mrs. William Lord, Windham, Mont., also a son, Gurney McBain, who died a few months ago; couple lived at Dike five years and after Mr. McBain's death there Mrs. McBain moved to Cedar Falls; married there to Charles Lyons; after his death Mrs. Lyons made her home with her daughters and died at the home of Mrs. Lord; member of the Methodist church; surviving besides her two daughters are eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Susan Edmunds, Happy, Tex.
