Henry Larsen Dies Suddenly
Henry Larsen was found dead in bed at his home here by neighbors Wednesday morning. He had been dead several hours. Death was due to a heart attack; he had been ill with heart trouble about a month.
He had lived alone in his home here since the death of his brother William in April. He never married.
Mr. Larsen was born June 28, 1881, in Wisconsin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Soren Larsen. He came to Black Hawk township with his parents at the age of 4, and they lived on a farm two miles north of Reinbeck where he spent his boyhood. In 1893 the family came to Grant township where he grew to manhood and worked on farms, hauled cream and did road work until coming to Dike in 1948.
Surviving are two brothers, Chris of Dike and Pete in Wisconsin, also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Dike Methodist church with Rev. L. J. Runion officiating. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery, Dike. The body was at the Engelkes Funeral Home in Grundy Center.
