Cora Melva Evans, 92, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 7, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born March 3, 1917, in Dike, daughter of Adam and Jennie Lynn Engel. She married Keith Pete Evans October 5, 1946, in Waterloo. He died November 1, 1981. Mrs. Evans graduated from Dike High School in 1934 and was valedictorian of her class.

Survivors include two sons, Scott and Kirk Evans, both of Waterloo; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Lynn (Iva) Engel of Cedar Falls and Dr. Ross A. (Rosalind) Engel of West Des Moines; and a son-in-law Eugene Hartson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Hartson; and a sister, Frances, in infancy; and a daughter-in-law, Nikki M. Evans.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Dike. Public visitation will be for an hour before services at the funeral home on Friday.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
