Funeral arrangements are pending at Grundy Center for a former Waterloo man, J. L. Albright, 69, of Covina, Calif., who died Wednesday night of a heart attack at Covina.

Mr. Albright and his wife had moved to California from Waterloo nine year ago. In Waterloo, he was employed as a carpenter and by Schoitz Memorial Hospital.

He was born at Grundy Center on March 30, 1896.

Surviving are his widow, two sons, Raymond D. Albright, of 928 Wellington St., and Russell Albright, of El Monte, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Krushwitz and Mrs. Stanley Krushwitz, both of Grundy Center; three brothers, Joe and Galen Albright, of State Center; and Bruce Albright, of Brainerd, Minn.; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Albright was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild.

Charles City rites for Jacob Albright

Charles City--Jacob Roy Albright, 69, former Charles City resident, died Wednesday of a heart attack in Pomona, Calif. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Grossmann-Hage Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery with military rites at the grave. Mr. Albright was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Raymond Albright, Waterloo; Russell Albright, El Monte, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Krushwitz, and Mrs. Stanley Krushwitz, both of Grundy Center; seven grandchildren and three brothers, Joe and Galen Albright, both of State Center, and Bruce Albright, Brainerd, Minn.

Friends may call at the Grossmann-Hage Funeral Home after 9 a.m., Monday.

J. L. Albright Dies In California

J. L. Albright, who was born in Melrose township and grew up there, died last Wednesday evening in Covina, California, where he and his family had been living. He had been sick about a month before his death. The body was sent to Charles City, Iowa, where burial services were held Tuesday of this week.

The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Albright, early and long time residents of Grundy county. He was married to Gladys Miller. The couple resided on a farm a few years before they moved to Cedar Falls. After leaving the farm he took up the carpenter trade, and for a time was employed at Schoitz hospital in Waterloo. He engaged in carpenter work after the family moved to California.

Surviving are the wife and two sons, Russell of California and Raymond, Waterloo. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Kruschwitz of Grundy Center and Mrs. Stanley Kruschwitz of Chappell, Nebr.; three brothers: Joe, State Center; Galen, Eldora; and Bruce, Brainerd, Minn.
