Local People Attend Funeral Services For Cuno Brower

Funeral services for Cuno Brower, 71, were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon at the United Brethren Church in Watertown, South Dakota. Military rites were held. Interment was in the cemetery at Watertown.

Mr. Brower died Friday in the Veterans hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, following a lingering illness.

He was born on February 13, 1891, east of Wellsburg in Grundy County, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cuno Brower. He was married to Dena Goldhorn. No children were born to this union.

Surviving are the widow; also one brother, Harm Brower of Watertown, South Dakota; and two sisters, Mrs. Coert Bunger of Wellsburg and Mrs. Hattie Poppen of Holland.

Attending the funeral services Monday from Wellsburg were Mr. and Mrs. Coert Bunger and Vernon Stahl, Mrs. Hattie Poppen, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brower, Mrs. Ray Thoren, Mrs. John Meints, Mrs. Minnie Stahl, and Mrs. Uffie Meints of Holland; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Andressen and Mrs. Grace Brower of Grundy Center; Mrs. Elmer Muller, Mrs. John Claassen and Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson of Parkersburg; Mrs. Art Freese, Tom Dreeseman, and Mrs. Edward Dieken of Dike; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eckhoff, Dick Johnson and Kuno Johnson of Aplington; Mrs. Charles Willis of Waverly.
