Obituary of Beverly Roberts

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 1976 at the Hope Reformed Church at Parkersburg for Beverly Roberts, age 32, who died at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 22 in St. Mary's hospital at Rochester, Minn., where she had been a patient for about a month. Rev. Melvin Voss officiated; Kathy Seehusen was organist and Bob Geist was the vocalist. Interment was held in Oak Hill cemetery, Parkersburg.

Beverly was born the daughter of Gratus and Dena Niehaus Nederhoff in Eldora but lived near Wellsburg and graduated from the Wellsburg high school in 1961. She married Kenneth R. Roberts on December 30, 1961 in the Wellsburg Reformed Church. After their marriage they lived in Iowa Falls, Eldora, Decorah, back to Iowa Falls, and in 1961 moved to Reinbeck where they owned and operated Ken's Pastry Shop. In 1973, they moved to Parkersburg and owned Ken's Pastry Shop in Parkersburg and lived in the apartment on the second floor. They have been attending the Hope Reformed Church.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband, Ken, 2 daughters, Diane age 10 and Kathy age 6, and a son, Mark, age 7. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gratus Nederhoff of Wellsburg, brother Donald Nederhoff of Eldora, 3 sisters, Mrs. John (Joanne) Winger, Wellsburg, Mrs. Harley (Harriett) Off of Marshalltown, Mrs. Kelly (Donna) Kramer of Aplington, her grandmother, Mrs. Cuna Nederhoff of Wellsburg.

Engelkes Funeral Home in Parkersburg was in charge of funeral arrangements.
