Funeral Held Monday For Carl Janssen

Carl D. Janssen, 64, of Colona, IL, formerly of Wellsburg, died Thursday, February 27, at 11 p.m. Funeral services were held in Illinois on Monday, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home there.

Survivors are his wife, his mother, Mrs. Grace Janssen of Wellsburg, a sister, Anna Kuper of Ft. Collins, CO, and a brother, Robert Janssen of Morrison, CO.

Carl Janssen Services Held

Services for Carl D. Janssen, 64, of Colona, Illinois, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 2, at Fairman Funeral Home, Green Rock. Burial was in the National Cemetery at Arsenal Island.

Mr. Janssen died Thursday, February 27, 1992, at home.

He was born on August 1, 1927, in Wellsburg, Iowa, the son of Dick and Grace Nederhoff Janssen. He married V. Illene Jaquet on March 23, 1974, in Nashua, Iowa.

He was employed by the former Moline Public Hospital, as maintenance supervisor, for 15 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include the widow; daughter, Deb Jaquet, Colona, IL; and Diane Phelphs, Aurora, IL; sons, Mike Jaquet of Kenton, TN, Randy and Rick Jaquet of Atkinson, and Roger Jaquet, Erie; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; his mother, Mrs. Grace Janssen of Wellsburg; a sister, Ann Kuper of Fort Collins, Colorado; and a brother, Robert Janssen of Denver, Colorado.
