Wellsburg Man Dies in Marshalltown

Delirium tremens, in its most agonizing form, caused the death at 3:30 Friday afternoon of W. E. Bute, single, aged 42, of Wellsburg. Bute died in jail, where he was placed Wednesday by the police, who found the man suffering from the trouble.

J. W. Bates of Wellsburg, brother-in-law of Bute came to the city Friday upon being informed of Bute's condition. Bates was in the office of County Attorney Scott, making arrangments to have Bute arraigned --rest unreadable--

Irvin Butte died at Marshalltown last Friday and was buried Sunday in the Ivester cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. Bruebaker of the Wellsburg church assisted by the Ivester choir. Mr. Butte was an old resident of Wellsburg.
