Ezra Smith Died Thursday Night

Ezra Smith died last Thursday night at the home of his sister, Mrs. Martin Schwarck, in Melrose township. He was 63 years old. He never married.

Funeral services were at the Ivester church Sunday.

Mr. Smith was born in Clay City, Indiana. He came to Iowa and to Grundy county 40 years ago and made his home with his sister, Mrs. Schwarck.

Surviving are Mrs. Schwarck and four other sisters. They are Mrs. Hugo Fox, Mrs. Alvin Lewis, Mrs. Glenn Button, all residents of Melrose township. There are two surviving brothers, Floyd of Brazil, Indiana, and Brisben from South Bend, Ind.
