Services Friday For John W. Van Tiger

Services were held Friday, January 13, for John W. Van Tiger, who had been a resident of the Valley View Nursing Center in Eldora since August 6, 1975. Rev. Calvin Vanderwerf was in charge of the committal service. Burial was in the Sheller cemetery.

John W. Van Tiger was born February 18, 1913. He was 64 years of age at the time of his death. He was born in Melrose township, Grundy county, and farmed in Felix township for many years until his health failed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Sadie Harms Van Tiger, one brother, Harmon, and one sister, Grace Irene.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lucille Broer of Hawthorne, Nevada and one brother, Floyd of Eldora.
