WHEAT, HILL, WALTZ, HICKMAN

Cedar Falls--Wilbur C. Wheat, 93, of 733 Maucker Road, died at home Wednesday, May 4, of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 7, 1901, in Marshalltown, son of Clark W. and Lena May Hill Wheat. He married Cozette Angela Waltz in New Hampton and they were later divorced. He then married Georgia Hickman on April 8, 1956, in Nashua; she died May 28, 1985.

Mr. Wheat was a farmer in the Fredericka, New Providence and Owasa areas. He also had worked as a farm hand and had been employed by a packing plant near Mason City.

Survived by: a daughter, Betty Lou Jacobs of Grand Junction, Colo.; three sons, Dirk E. of Cedar Falls, Mark C. of Madison, Wis., and Dean A. of Marion; two stepsons, Norman D. Hickman of Conrad and Larry G. Hickman of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Lillian Wheat of Cedar Falls; 13 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: three brothers; three sisters, three half-sisters; a half-brother; and a grandson.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, with burial in Sheller Cemetery, rural Grundy County. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials: directed to the family.
