Mrs. Hugo Fox Died Friday
Mrs. Hugo Fox, 74, of Eldora died at the Eldora Memorial hospital Friday following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Ivester Church of the Brethren. Burial was in the Sheller cemetery near Ivester. Rev. Charles Albin officiated.
Amanda Smith was born October 9, 1887 near Clay City, Indiana, a daughter of Amos and Mary Smith. She married Hugo Fox on July 27, 1912 at Jasonville, Ind. The couple lived in the Ivester and Eldora communities for the past 35 years.
Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. John Cakerice of Conrad, Mrs. Kenneth Cakerice of Eldora; seven brothers and sisters, Mrs. Martin Schwarck, Mrs. Alvin Lewis, Mrs. Edgar Moats and Mrs. Glen Button all of Eldora, Brisben Smith, South Bend, Ind., Floyd Smith, Brazil, Indiana, and Mrs. Orville Perry of Jasonville. There are also five grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
