Harry Sheller Died At Hospital

Harry Sheller, who had been a resident of Grundy county for more than three-quarters of a century, died at the Eldora hospital Saturday evening. He had been in failing health for the past several years. A week before his death his condition became serious and he was taken to the hospital. He was in his 84th year.

Funeral services await the arrival of the son Lynn who lives in Fullerton, California. The services will be at the Ivester church and burial will be in the Ivester cemetery.

Mr. Sheller was born on a farm near Mt. Carroll, Ill. He came to Grundy county with his parents when he was a small boy. The family located on a Melrose township farm and Mr. Sheller spent all but a few years of his long life after he came here in that township.

After his marriage he lived one year on a farm a mile east of Ivester and another year on a Palermo township farm. After that he bought a farm a short distance north of Ivester which was his home up to the time of his death. His wife died about five years ago. After her death he and his daughter Isabelle continued to live on their farm. The daughter was married to George Bakker within the last year. Only the son and daughter of his immediate family survive. Other surviving relatives are one brother, Frank, who lives in Melrose township, and one sister, Mrs. George Schwarck of Grundy Center.
