Jerry Lee Noltensmeier, 70, of Reinbeck, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2018 at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center, Iowa. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 8, at French Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck, Iowa at 10 AM. A private committal service will be held at a later date. French-Hand Funeral Home is taking care of Jerry and his family.

Jerry Lee Noltensmeier was born on December 5, 1947 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota to his parents Vernon and Helen (Tupper) Noltensmeier. Jerry attended school at River Hills in Cedar Falls. Jerry worked at the Goodwill in Waterloo and enjoyed participating in swimming competitions for the Special Olympics. Jerry also enjoyed riding bicycles, watching sports, and cheering on the UNI Panthers.

Jerry is survived by his siblings Gladys Noltensmeier of Waterloo, Betty Noltensmeier of Grundy Center, LeRoy (Ranae) Noltensmeier of Marion, IA, and Joyce (Max) Morrow of Reinbeck, Iowa; Jerry also had many nieces and nephews. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Helen.
