Funeral Services Conducted Today At Late Home For Mrs. Flora A. Mack

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock over the remains of Mrs. Flora A. Mack at her home, 1310 Walnut street, conducted by the Rev. Walter Metcalf, assisted by Dr. J. E. Snowden. Tomorrow morning the remains will be taken to New Hartford, where at 10:30 o'clock a more extended service will be held and burial will be made. Mrs. Mack was a remarkably strong character of New England birth and education. She was born in Vermont in 1839 and in girlhood came to Wisconsin and later to Iowa, settling on a farm near New Hartford, after her marriage in 1857 to Philander Mack. After his death she came to Cedar Falls in 1894 to make her home and her daughter, Miss Lottie Mack has been her close and beloved companion during all these years. Two sons, Frank H. and Irving E. Mack, live near New Hartford. She is survived by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; also by one brother, J. U. Gould, of Darien, Wis.

She was a woman of culture and refinement but of much reserve.
