Frank I. Huntley

One of northeast Iowa's oldest residents died Sunday at the age of 102.

Frank I. Huntley of 1042 Columbia St. died at his home at 10:30 p.m. Sunday of complications of age.

His services are pending at Locke Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon Tuesday.

Mr. Huntley was born in a log cabin June 6, 1873, near Stout, son of Calvin S. and Lemira Peck Huntley. He married Georgia Alberta Ferris in April, 1900, in New Hartford.

He was employed at one time by a taxicab company, and was a carpenter until his retirement.

He was one of 57 surviving first-time Social Security benefactors.

His sister died Feb. 25, 1975, at the age of 107.

Survivors include five sons, W. C. (Clyde) of 9248 Logan Ave., George H. of Milton Junction, Wis., Harold H. of Clinton, Paul F. of 1042 Columbia St., and Donald R. of Glendale, Calif.; and a daughter, Mrs. Acle Parker of New Hartford.
