Burton Huntley Among Missing in Pacific Area
Burton Calvin Huntley, 33, storekeeper third class in the navy, has been reported missing, following action in the Pacific area, according to a telegram received by his father, Frank I. Huntley, 1042 Columbia street, from the navy department.
Burton Huntley was born in Waterloo on Jan. 5, 1912, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank I. Huntley. He moved with his parents to Downers Grove, Ill., in 1925. His mother died in 1938.
Ten years ago he married Alice Hogrove at Hinsdale, Ill. Mrs. Huntley now resides at Downers Grove. He has one sister and six brothers, Mrs. Helen Parker, 1226 Lafayette street; Spencer, Louisville, Ky.; Clyde, 437 Gable street; Paul, 1042 Columbia; George, Rockford, Ill.; Pvt. Harold, of the army, in Italy, and Donald, storekeeper, second class, in the navy.
He had been working for the Diamond T Truck line at Chicago, prior to entering the service.
