Mrs. Effie Cook, Cedar Falls, Dies

Mrs. Effie Cook, 85, died at 9 a.m. Friday at Independence state hospital, where she had been about two years.

Born Effie McCullom on May 29, 1859, at Pittsfield, Va., she came to New Hartford when 17 years of age. There she was married to Albert Cook, who preceded her in death.

She leaves two sons, Corbett Cook, 420 East 10th street, Cedar Falls, and Norman Cook, Valparaiso, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Sharp, also at Valparaiso, and 13 grandchildren.

Her body is at the Brown funeral home.
