Neva Genevieve Bailey

Neva Genevieve Bailey, 92, died at Ackley Presbyterian Home in Ackley on Thursday, Aug. 15, 1991. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19 at Linn's Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial at Fairfield Township Cemetery, New Hartford. Rev. Mark Lieder will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18 with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. and also from 9 a.m. until service time at Linn's Funeral Home.

She was born May 2, 1899 at Pueblo, Colo., the daughter of Fred and Alma Simmons Brock. She attended school at Marshalltown and Iowa State Teachers College. On June 1, 1924 she married Ward Bailey at Iowa City. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Iowa Falls, and Mary Lane Club, Iowa Falls.

Surviving are two daughters, Amy Smith of Tampa, Fla., and Marlene Harper of New Hartford; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mareta Peterson of West Des Moines; and Ruth Armstrong of Saginaw, Mich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward, one granddaughter, two brothers and five sisters.

Linn's Funeral Home of Iowa Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
