J. Hurlbert Griffith
J. Hurlbert Griffith, 74, for 55 years a resident of Waterloo, died Wednesday at the Woodlawn convalescent home of complications incident to advanced age. He had been a resident of the home for eight months.
Mr. Griffith before his retirement was employed as a self employed trucker and electrician.
Surviving are one son, Del of 212 Whittier St.; two daughters, Mrs. George Hamblin, 136 North Barclay St.; Mrs. Ethel Schutte of 2908 Roland St., Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Lulu Swen, 254 Wallgate Ave.; and Mrs. Clyde Case of New Hartford.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton funeral chapel in New Hartford. The body will be at the funeral chapel in New Hartford after 3 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in New Hartford.

Funeral services for Jay Griffith of Waterloo were held Saturday afternoon at the Hamilton Funeral Chapel here. Burial was in Fairfield Cemetery. Mr. Griffith was a brother of Mrs. Clyde Case. He was born here and attended country school here. Mr. Griffith moved to Waterloo as a young man and lived there until the time of his death.
